About Our Department

Our department operates and maintains nine (9) water pump stations, five (5) water storage tanks, and approximately 50 miles of water main in addition to reading water meters and billing the same. We also operate and maintain eight (8) sewer pump stations, two (2) sewer plants, and 40 miles of sewer main.

A Note From the Superintendent

In the past, during Summer months, we have had to place Water Restrictions into effect. Water Restriction signs that will be installed at all the entrances of the Village of Woodbury during restrictions, in order to give notice to our customers. Can I pay my water bill online?
At this time the Village of Woodbury is unable to accept online payments.

Is the water safe to drink?
Yes. The water is safe to drink in the Village of Woodbury. It's tested regularly in accordance with NYS standards.

Why is my water bill so high? How can I possibly use such a large amount of water?
You may have a water leak, dripping faucet, leak in the toilet, or your water softener could be stuck in the backwash cycle. Water consumption is also increased substantially during the hot days of summer when many homeowners water their lawns. Water conservation is urged. Please make every effort to have all leaks repaired.

When and how often are the water meters read?
Water meters are read three times a year, with water bills being sent out in February, June, and October. If the water bills are not paid by March 24th, they will be relevied on your next property tax bill.

What is the hardness of the water in the Village of Woodbury?
The hardness runs between nine (9) and fifteen (15) grains per gallon or around 200-250 parts per million.
